It all started with fabric, and a passion that never left
Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, Christian developed a love for fabric early on while working alongside his mother, Doreen Boehm, a skilled upholsterer and owner of Boehm's Custom Upholstery. Surrounded by swatch books and textiles, he earned his allowance helping rebuild sofas and chairs, gaining a deep understanding of texture, quality, and construction.
Hands on experience in the world of business
Christian studied at The Ohio State University, earning a double major in Business and Finance. During his time there, he interned with Southwestern Advantage, gaining hands-on experience in direct sales by selling educational materials door-to-door during his summers.
The beginning of Bespoke
Owned by the same group as Southwestern Advantage, Christian was recruited from his college internship to join The Tom James Company, the world's largest custom clothier. Started in 1966, Tom James has grown to over 100 offices all over the globe.
The Beginning
Christian Boehm founded Christian Boehm Clothiers with a vision to bring authentic, handcrafted menswear to discerning gentlemen. Starting from a small workshop, the focus was on traditional tailoring techniques and premium fabrics.
First Flagship Store
Opened our first flagship store in downtown, featuring a full-service tailoring atelier. The store became known for its personalized service and attention to detail, attracting clients seeking bespoke and made-to-measure garments.
Master Craftsmen Partnership
Established partnerships with master tailors from Savile Row and Italy, bringing centuries of expertise to our atelier. This collaboration elevated our craftsmanship to new heights and introduced exclusive techniques.
Luxury Fabric Collection
Curated our first exclusive fabric collection, sourcing the finest wools from Scotland, silks from Italy, and cashmeres from Mongolia. Each fabric was hand-selected for its quality, texture, and unique character.
Celebrity Clientele
Our reputation for excellence attracted high-profile clients from entertainment and business. Word of mouth became our strongest marketing tool as satisfied clients recommended our services to their networks.
